  • AD – Airworthiness Directive. An airworthiness directive a notification to owners and operators of certified aircraft that a known safety deficiency with a particular model of aircraft, engine, avionics or other system exists and must be corrected.
  • ALI –  Airworthiness Limitations Instructions
  • AWLs – Airworthiness Limitations
  • CMR – Certification Maintenance Requirements
  • DITA – Darwin Information Typing Architecture, an XML data model for authoring and publishing.
  • DTD – document type definition, a set of markup declarations that define a document type for an SGML – family markup language (SGML, XML, and HTML).
  • ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning
  • HTML – Hyper Text Markup Language
  • Metadata – data about data or information about information that describes, explains, locates, and makes it easier to retrieve, use, or manage an information resource.
  • MRB – Maintenance Review Board
  • MRBR – Maintenance Review Board Report – The MRB Report contains the minimum required tasks necessary to maintain the airworthiness of the aircraft.
