Turns out February was coldest month in Quebec’s history

Montreal Winter

This February will go down in the history books, as the coldest month in Quebec.

Environment Canada calls the arctic air mass quote, a “temperature anomaly”, never observed in 115 years, plunging us between five and nine degrees below normal.

Most affected, underground structures in many municipalities of the province.

March could also be below seasonal averages.

Environment Canada expects mild conditions first several days of March, but the intense cold should return by the middle of next week.
